He is Alabama based. He is just practicing to avoid the tolls that the Alabama Department Of Transportation wants to charge to build a 2 billion dollar bridge for I-10 traffic in Mobile Alabama. The bridge would be a private/public project.
One way for cars six dollars, semis thirty dollars plus the possibility for administrative fees. Tolls expected for 55 years.
This just after a gas and registration fee increase.
Big push back on this proposal. On Facebook go to Block the Mobile Bayway Toll

i can't say that in all my years, tolls had an end date.

the NJTP was also supposed to have an "end date", but they get to keep the tolls, cuz as long as they are doing repairs to that road, they can continue to collect them.

once a toll is in place, they just don't go away on thier own, just cuz it's typed up on some piece of toilet paper.

Same with the Mass Pike(I-90).The bonds floated to build and maintain the road were paid off a long time ago. But the tolls are still in place-now even more so since the highway was automated(no toll attendants).

Anybody have current truck toll rate that the driver did not pay? Is the price about $50 now?
When did this become a crime not to pay a toll instantly?

In BC on hwy 5 it was a toll road for years once paid off they dropped the tolls .. same with two bridges .. I think it had more to do with the crashes the inexperienced drivers had on other roads avoiding the tolls

I think it's around $60 now, 20 per booth for the 3. I'm sure I'll hit it in a few days and then I'll surely remember.
