I worked for the biggest pipeline co in the USA. Late 80,s to the late 90,s. Hauling equipment was 1 of the many jobs, I did there. It,s very easy, just don,t over think the job. I ran all the heavy equipment, including world,s most powerful horizontal drill rig to a 28 cylinder locomotive plowing gas lines in. Etc hauling the equipment was a fun break, from the drill rig repairs and work.

This basically. I was told its heavy equipment and I believe the heavy hauling doesn't get involved with the towing side of the business.

Low bed drivers go to crash and recovery scenes for towing companies frequently here.
In fact so regularly they are basically considered part of the team.

Thank you. I was beginning to think I’d lost my mind hiring drivers before I had a truck for them. We have a non-existant turnover rate and the equipment gets looked after. I’m ready to call this a successful experiment. We’ve had one driver quit and go elsewhere in 14yrs. The rest are still here.

One of the local heavy tow outfits here keeps one of our double-drops pretty busy. Some are calls to a recovery scene, the rest transportation out of impound for an insurance company.

I’ve been thinking about jumping in that sector myself for the heavy towing. Forgot about the low beds also.

I would be in heaven. My mind is set

I had a low bed make three trips today from a crash scene, as well as a gravel truck and end dump of mine. Pays really well to.
