You have all the power to enter into contracts and all matters related to trucking. You also have all the liability. You are your own entity with no dependence on a mother company.

If you have your own authority it means you are a trucking company and can haul loads for yourself. If you don't have your authority you need to either be leased on to a company with your own truck or drive someone elses truck.

When you have your own authority you find your own loads and keep all the money. You have to have your own insurance and everything else. You are on your own.
