No, but given the rates you post I'm wondering why not. Driver I worked with is from MN and says we get paid too low out here.

    Where you living?

Yeah there is #### jobs too. You just gotta know the good ones. Basically any union construction job pays but some companies suck for sure even then.

So @Fold_Moiler do you automatically get that rate or do you start of at a lower tier and have to work up to that higher wage?

    Fold_Moiler Thanks this.

I have never heard of any union mixer driver jobs anywhere around here. Everyone pays about the same.

At my job now I started at full scale. A lot start at full scale.

My last job starts drivers at 85% so like 28 or something with a 5% raise every year.

The other big ready mix starts at 90% and the next year goes to 100%.

Most places will start at full scale though.

You gotta be Union here to get the big jobs. Out in the country they aren’t so much.

Interesting how things are so much different there, than here.
If you are in a union here, good luck getting any work at all.

As set minimums by the city fathers to prevent runaway inflation or deflation of their economic base.

WHen I worked mixer 12.50 was hard ceiling. I did it for 8.50. Be 4 years to 12.50.

Now is 16.50 something in J'Boro. Set by the City Fathers there as a matter of policy.

Thats one of the reasons we escaped into the west the way we did. 8.50 is just existing. Not living or prospering. The only reason we got away with that was the house and cars were paid off.
