Not forced to chain unless something has changed. They'd rather you be safe.

Stay with the company if you're happy. They're good.

Equipment is new, and nice, well cared for. They're going to auto trucks. Single bunks unless changed. I heard they were getting some freight shakers?

You'll get miles if you like to run and don't turn down loads. They are based in ND so there and the twins you'll frequent.

Definitely a good company. Certainly works for many.

1 year is .45 cpm plus .085 cpm bonus money per month plus .05 cpm on a hazmat load. Goes up to .50 cpm base after 5 years. $3000 sign on, $85 a day training pay. Miles are in the 2500 to 3200 range. Will vary.

No need to wait for a year, just put a guy with two months experience in a 2019 579 Pete with a 12 speed auto, inverter, frig, bunk heat, and air. Nice trucks. New ones will be twin bunks, think they're getting tired of people asking for one when they want to bring someone out. Nothing older than 3 years in the otr fleet.

You will be doing North Dakota or Minnesota on one end of the loop, so be prepared. Bright side is the other end is either down south or the coasts. No new york, no california.

Drop yard in Greensboro, nc and chicago. Terminals in Fargo and Minneapolis.

I’ve been here 4 years, have 30 years experience. I believe all trucks 17 and newer are automatics. I’m in the last batch of manuals a 16 l, my choice. 16’s are the oldest.
20’s are double bunks, they are a few before that but they were trained trucks.
I have no idea what the starting pay is, they just updated it. A drop yard in Greensboro.
Usually in ND or Minnesota every week. Dispatch out of MN or ND is non forced you select what you want from what they have available. We don’t run NY or anything up past that. We run NJ. No California or Southwest. Chaining up is totally up to you. Nothing will be said if you don’t.

Also if you have your hazmat endorsement it’s a 1 cent bonus on all miles.

I got pulled into a weigh station this morning for a routine weigh. I stopped on the scale, two guys came out, I sat there for about 20 seconds, light turned green and I took off.

Then I see a super bright flashlight flashing me down in my mirror and the officer signaled for me to turn around back.

The officer asked me (loudly and sternly) if someone told me to go and asked why I moved. I told him because the light turned green. He boldly, strictly stated "No it did not turn green." Then I said I saw it turn green and he again assured me "IT DID NOT TURN GREEN." He seemed pretty pissed. So I just said "ok".

He then pointed out I had a flat tire on my tractor. He said get it fixed right here right now.

While I was waiting for the Roadside service, I saw the officer walking outside and I asked him "once they fix my tire, do you want me to come inside, or go over the scale again?" He said "once it's fixed, you're good to go."

Anyway, here is a public thank you to the DOT officer who gave me a break. No paperwork. Nothing. Just get it fixed.

Nothing I could say about the tire, it was flat. My bad. But I was planning on calling safety to see if I could get video footage of the light turning green because I thought he was gonna write me up for a tire and for moving when not told to do so. But he was cool and let me go.

I know we have good characters here. But just goes to show, I could have been an idiot and kept arguing with the guy about the light. It could have turned out different. But it ended up not being an issue.

Again, thank you to the DOT officer who gave me a break. I'm in a pretty good mood after that. I need to be more careful.

While this may be true, he still didn’t need to approach you with his god complex raging.

What state was that in? Hate it when DOT wants to flex. At least you guys don't have to deal with the border guys. They'll send you to xray just for setting the air brake when you pull up

IF he’s in the truck I believe that he’s in, it was in Illinois on the I 57 Southbound scales. Illinois was awful busy (troopers) on 24 and 57.
