Once empty I am headed back to Church Hill. Hope this doesn't mean another 40+ hour layover.

You ended up right back at a mega.
    With mega rules and micromanagement.
Theses mergers never favor the drivers.
They know a bunch of you will quit.
    They don't care.

They'll do a hiring blitz first,
Then enforce all that garbage on everybody.
They know exactly what thier doing.

Change of plans. 10 min after I leave Owatonna, my DM called and said the planner screwed up. I am supposed to head to Spring Hill instead of Church Hill. So, I got to Spring Hill last night and I'm waiting for my next adventure.

Wylie really isn't that big, I think Daseke is just combining overlapping specialized divisions to pool their freight base so they aren't in competition with one another. What's the old saying, united we stand, divided we fall.

My next adventure is here. After several (or more like most) of the drivers that got to the yard after me last night got their loads and were gone, I finally got my load. Headed to Canada for a Friday delivery, and the comments say that I will be reloading in Rossford OH after I am empty...I can only guess that the reload will deliver in Laurinburg.

It seems like almost every time I go to Rossford lately it's for Owatonna. It used to always be Laurinburg to Owatonna, which is twice the miles.

That's true, I did take a load up there out of Rossford earlier this year. That would be o.k. with me because, most of the time, I head to Spring Hill out of Owatonna. If I went to Laurinburg, that would probably be it for the week unless freight has picked up over there

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Well, the Wylie blend has started, and I hope the chaos is only because they haven't gotten the 2 systems fully integrated. A friend delivered outside Dallas yesterday, and was originally suppose to roll back to Sping Hill, but his DM called and told him Mascot wants him to head to Wichita Falls, TX instead. No company name was given, no address, no pickup number and no destination. Mascot told dispatch that they hadn't been given that info yet, just head that driver that direction. Since he was pulling a double drop, he assumed he was going the glass plant. Well, he got close and still nothing. Knowing that they won't let you in the gate without all the right numbers, he called his DM. His DM said that they have been riding his butt about 'when will he be there, and when will he be able to deliver'...not being a ########, dispatch didn't smart off like I would have, but just told them he couldn't give them that info since we didn't know where he was picking up or when, and where the load was headed. They did finally give my friend the pickup location and a pickup number (which was wrong). And after 30 minutes at the gate, he was allowed in, but had to go to the shipping office to sort out all the problems. Ended up that they want him in Covington GA Friday morning, out of Wichita Falls TX, and he had burned part of his day getting to the shipper and burned hours live loading...and almost got heatstroke in the 102 degree heat trying to keep up with the loading crew.(normally there are several people doing the loading, but when a driver live loads, it just the driver mono-e-mono against the crane operators). He said he may not make it on time. Hopefully it'll all smooth out once things get fully merged, right now, it seems like total chaos in the middle of a Chinese fire drill

Found out this a.m. that I am headed to Laurinburg with my Rossville load...hopefully this Wylie blend will garner me a Wylie load out of there that delivers before Tuesday afternoon.

Update - change of plans. Rossford cancelled my load so now, once I am empty tomorrow, I am just taking my empty to Church Hill... Ughhh, not again. Hope it isn't another 36 to 40 hour wait for a load
