    Please check reviews from Amazon.

I have the Garmain 155W and love it. It is made for cars but works well as a trucking tool.

Microsoft Street and Trips I read is very good but it is a software program and not a GPS.

I use the verizon VZ Navigator. Its 10 bucks per month but it is on most newer cell phones. It has truck routes and has never tried to lead me under a low bridge. It works great IMO. Only complaint is that in cities sometimes it doesnt update quick enough if the roads are very close together

I am reading and hearing rave reviews of the new Garmin Nuvi 465T Truck Gps. Costs around $500.00 bucks though.

Here is a review of this unit:

Verdict: Hands Down the Best GPS For Truckers

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]Review Highlights

    • Garmin's first nuvi designed for the trucking industry. Easily switches between Automobile and Truck modes
    • Navigates routes based on your truck's type, load, height, weight, length, and hazardous load restrictions
    • Pre-loaded with NTTS Breakdown Directory
    • Lacks some of the features found on higher-end Garmin nuvi 7x5 models, but still leaps and bounds better than any other trucking-friendly GPS out there
Garmin's first navigator designed for the trucking industry, the nuvi 465T brings a trucking-friendly set of features to Garmin's already excellent nuvi product line. If you drive a large vehicle, the 465T can navigate routes based on your truck's type, load, and physical restrictions. Even better, routing is customizable by height, weight, length, width, and hazardous materials.
The nuvi 465T also includes free lifetime traffic, Bluetooth wireless, speaks street names, and comes with a pre-loaded NTTS Breakdown Directory. When not driving a truck, the 465T can be put into standard vehicle mode, and functions as any other Garmin nuvi.

I got a GARMIN NuVII. A freind of a freind bought a new Honda and it came with the car, he didnt need it, so it now is mounted on the windshield of my truck. Works fine...

11 is on it's way out. You would serve yourself better to wait until the fall and get 12. Version 11 users will be able to upgrade at the discounted rate though.

    Ridgerunner665 Thanks this.
