I live in Mississippi. If I want to work in Tennessee, as a gas truck driver, e.g. for Love's, is it easy to transfer my Class A CDL with Hazmat + Tanker endorsement & TWIC from Mississippi to Tennessee?

How to Transfer a CDL from State to StateCoffey Thanks this. -
I did this hazmat transfer one time. Had to retake the hazmat test in the new state, but not the fingerprints and background check. Check with the state you are moving to.

It depends on what the license expiration date is versus the hazmat expiration date.
If the new state can give you a license expiration date that is before the HM expiration, you don't have to do the prints/background until it is due.
If it falls after that you need to do it all over because the background check cannot lapse in the middle of a CDL term. Because you'll have a state-issued card stating that you are cleared.
Retaking the HM test is up to the individual state requirements.
That's the way the lady at DMV explained it to me. -
Twic is twic doesn’t have anything to do with the state I’m from Mississippi and get mine renewed in Louisiana
-
Worse case scenario you have to retake the new states hazmat exam at the dmv

Moving from Commiefornia to Nevada all I had to retake was hazmat. Basically regardless of what you may read you need to check with the state you're dealing with to see their requirements.Seattle206 Thanks this.
