    Hey guys,

hope yall are having a great evening, I'm new to this forum but it seems quite helpful for us truckers. I wanted to pick some of your guys brain about these two types of trailers. I recently bought a C5307 which is great but I'm debating between two others for a second trailer add on. Have you guys used or are you familiar with the CX-5308 or the C-5309 and which would you recommend? I was leaning more towards the 5308 because of the drop down deck for easy loading and strapping but I'm getting a great deal on a 2018 5309 thats barely used for about $50K because the owner just wants to get rid of it asap. any suggestions or advice? thanks in advance! Cheers

5309 is more PITA that professional stinger , there is a reason he got rid of it . I wouldn't touch car hauling without stinger , but if i was getting 7-8-9 high mount - probably best bet would be the one thats set up for pick ups ... Im sure more experienced guys will chime in with their advices

Don't get a 5308 with all the split decks. It's heavy as hell. They just made high mounts that have the truck packages so you'd be stuck buying a new one. I ran multiple 5309's it's definitely the most flexible 8/9 car you can get. It's not new car hauler friendly. You can put alot of mixed loads on a 5309 but axle weight usually becomes a issue

With a 5309 you can load 9 new units and roll. That 1 extra may or may not be a deal breaker. If it isnt i'd go C-5308LTB. The LT is the lighter model. And it's 5 grand cheaper than the cx-5308

Hello, I just bought a 2009 5309 about a month ago. We are a actually picking it up today to bring to cottrell for maintenance. We haven’t worked it yet. When you say it’s not new car friendly, what do you mean? Thanks

I don’t have any experience loading/unloading this trailer but from what I can see from other peoples rig is the door openings might be an issue with a few of the positions

New car hauler. As in the amount of experience the driver has.. its an amazing trailer in my eyes. Especially for a high mount. But its a PIA until you have a few mixed loads under your belt

Just 2 positions up on the 5th wheel and the 2nd to last on the bottom. And once you figure it out you'll be fine
