I doubt that there is a majority of truckers who do not vote.
The problem is that the companies have more say over the last 80 years than the employee. The politicians will answer to the best buck. It certainly is not going to be the truck drivers who have empty pockets when compared to companies.
Why do you think OSHA and wage and hour have no say.

Their revenue will go up for the first month or so. But when companies start to see bills showing up in their mail for $120 that will STOP in a hurry.
Take SwiftandCo. Lets say they have 50 trucks a day across WY, thats probably not too much of a wild ### guess.......
50x$120 = $6000 hit they do not plan on paying very often!
Also drivers will soon figure out a way around it.
Once again I stress that they did not believe me that this would happen.
They think that it would take too much longer for a load to go over 70 or 40 or 90 and that when companies sit down and do the math they will just pay the toll.
I tried and tried to tell them that it don't work that way, but they did not listen. -
Another thing the politicians think is that when they give back a 3rd lane to the motoring public they'll all become happy contented drivers as they pay up the $120 bux to drive across WY.
How delusional!!!!! -
If I were to look at it, A Elhart, In load to Salt Lake City, I could find a way around.
Go home, take us 36 to I-70 to Eagle or Rifle, go north to 40 and arrive.
I wonder how many miles it would cost. Certainly not 120 in fuel. -
They figure with the extra miles and time required to feasibly go around you'll just eat the toll and roll.
I wish I had a video of the whole thing. Ya'll would laugh or get pissed off.Roadmedic Thanks this. -
They might get a big surprise.

I've got $50 that says there is no MIGHT!!! -
I am curious about one thing.
My past dealings with toll roads is that they were required to have an alternative to the toll road.
Maybe I just remember the rule wrong, but it is something you can see on most other routes. -
They still have to get WY legislature approval and US congress approval.
I had to go get my atlas. The first toll collection spot is planned for between Rock Springs and Wamsutter where there is no good alternative.
You could take 287 n out of Rawlins to Lander and then 28 back south to 191 back to 80. 245 miles one way.
Would you run those miles to avoid $120? and an additional almost 5 hrs?
One way or the other you'll pay. And this is what they are counting on. Those miles I mentioned will cost you .49 a mile to avoid the toll.
What is your cost per mile? -
