So I'm delivering half this load at Wal Mart in Corinne, UT and the other half goes over by Sparks NV.

The smart me says to go back down 15 to 80 west.

Buuuuuut there's a shorter route. Just not sure about it.

I could go back down 15 to 80, or I could take that route 30.

I circled where I'm at on the picture I uploaded. Hopefully it uploaded right.

Wish I could help but never been that way. I do have quarters to flip in case of emergency.

30 is good, it’s a nice 2 lane. I’ve been across it quite a few times. Plus it’s a little more scenic than going across the salt flats. Just make sure and stop at the J in Snowville if you need anything before you take off across there, there won’t be anything until you get to Wells.

You'll find a few trucks on that road.

It's 125 miles of no cell signal though.
No Verizon either. Unless things improved.

Steel loads from Plymouth to northern California take that road. Or back to Plymouth.

Anything ogden north is shorter that way.
South of Ogden is better taking 80. And going through the scale at the border.

I had Verizon most of the way across when I was on it about a year ago. But I remember back in 2014 or so there wasn’t much service.

I do not ever think I've been on that stretch of us 30. It is staa routing and way shorter. And it's not winter yet, go for it.

    Cattleman84, x1Heavy and Cabinover101 Thank this.

Looks like its 38 miles shorter if I go through no-man's land. Not short enough for the percieved risk.

Ill just go back down 15 to 80.

30 is worth taking if you've never taken it. Nice view around the north side of the lake. Not too scenic, ust relaxing on a road less traveled. It's a good two lane.

Suspect Zero, mhyn, x1Heavy and 2 others Thank this.

There’s no risk. It’s not mountainous, mostly in a valley. It’s nice scenery and since you have the chance I’d take it. It’s way better and also faster because you won’t be dealing with SLC traffic.

I might. Its just that if something happens to go wrong out there, there is nothing out there.

But then I guess that's also true halfway between Tooele and Wendover.
