Was wondering what is the best time of day to call for loads.
What are the best and worst days of the week calling for loads?

Never.
I rarely ever call on a load and I work only spot market. Not that it matters a whole lot in this market.
Today someone called on my truck out west for Friday. Load going east.
"It's 2200 miles and we have a rate of $2500, but what would YOU need for this?"
I laughed at her. It was 44,000lbs and $1000 below market average. People must be taking this cheap #### or they wouldn't put themselves out there for potential embarrassment.
But I'd say you'd get lowballed the most on a Monday morning.
Everyone is unloading their weekend loads and looking for another all at the same time.JonJon78, Midwest Trucker, loudtom and 2 others Thank this. -
I can’t really think of an answer that’s true all the time. Things change constantly and quickly. Some weeks it may be like BoyWander said, some weeks it maybe mornings are hot and everything is gone by 2pm eastern. Sometimes you need to wait until later in the day before rates trend up for that day. There are weeks where earlier in the week it’ll start out strong and gets weaker and slower as it goes along.
Hard to answer. Just gotta hustle hard and take no prisoners, Believe that. Nobody gives a #### about your success but you. Brokers preach this kumbyah bs that we all need to develop lasting relationships in good and tough markets. Fact is that all goes out the window as soon as the phones start ringing and business is being done. Not saying there isn’t freight and business you can do repeatedly, it’s just money talks and bull #### walks end of the day.rollin coal, BoyWander and Dino soar Thank this.
