This guy passed me by Lincoln today on I-80. Empty seed bins (assuming empty because they’re double stacked) and no load locks. Oh yeah, and his back door was up. Couldn’t get him on the radio, he was hammer down with places to go.

I was behind a FedEx truck that dropped boxes all over US54 in Missouri yesterday, back door wide open. Lots of car drivers stopped to help the driver pick them all up.

I didn't have time for it, got in the left lane and got out as fast as I could.

  5. well you know if you want to put a padlock on to make sure your roll up door doesn't go flapping that's about 10 seconds effort..
and that's about 10 seconds too much effort for most people

Well there was this guy I know real well :D who was pulling a swing door 53' one day when he was a pretty new driver and all these cars were honking as they passed him about 5 minutes after he left the warehouse. He took a cloverleaf exit to pull over and WHAM that open rear door swung around and hit the side of the trailer. Scared the guy to death. They guy was me.

Luckily the trailer was empty. You don't do that more than once.

Nah, them bins ain't goin' nowhere,,,oops, there go the bins after all. Takes a while to get used to a roll up door. Conversely, that's like roll up door drivers dropping a swing door trailer in a dock and not open the doors.:biggrin_25523:

If that load falls out of that trailer, my advice would be to start walking.........home.

Well if he wouldn't answer his radio, hopefully no one gets hurt if he loses some of them, but I would just laugh at him and keep on rolling. May stop and tell him to pay attention to his radio next time first though. lol
