That's a good way to be.
I'll tell why we're so adamant about the spacing. About twenty years ago we'd just bought three brand new Reliance end dumps. They went to work the very next day stockpiling road-base.
The drivers got into a competition to see who could get the most loads and started dumping alongside each other and taking off before the trailers were all the way down.
They were all three side by side when one of them went over and took the other two with it.
The trailers didn't even have the paint worn off the inside of the bed yet.
None of the drivers were hurt...except for a sore butt when the old man went up one side of them and down the other...and the trucks stayed on their feet but we were sure out of the end dump business for awhile.
The owner didn't buy any more end dumps for about five years. He said it took him that long to work up his nerve.

The only livestock trailer i've ever pulled is my 24 footer that I haul my own cows with. The guys that do it every day have my respect.

The smelly part is when you get home and have to clean out the trailer.

NightWind and MACK E-6 Thank this.

I’m not hating the hopper bottom life, I got to admit.

Ok here we go. I admire those of you that have the skills to mange two trailers at one time.
However I personally do not advocate pulling trailers for the same pay. I have felt this way since doubles and triples came out.
The other issue I have with them is some drivers (not all) feel that they need to park at the fuel island and block things up.
But since you @MACK E-6 are my hero I give you a pass.

    MACK E-6 Thanks this.

Well, not to excuse that necessarily but one explanation for that would be that one has to be very careful where one parks a set. The fuel island is one place to put the truck for a few minutes to grab a cup of Joe and a snack without the risk of having to back up, and pups don’t back very well.

Yes I know they don't back up easily. I have a wrecker service that I've used and they can back up a tractor trailer into a shop! Totally amazing! I have actually seen drivers back those pups up and do an exceptional job at it. I'll bet my hero can do it no problem!:biggrin_25514::biggrin_2559:
