I have a 2016 579, a 100w Galaxy CB was installed (we were unaware that) the power connector was spliced into a 12ga line near the fuse box and the driver's left foot. The wires are marked 12v and GND. that also has a label "Conn V, Display/AUX". I have not been able to find the corresponding fuse for this wire. When the CB was Keyed up to tune the SWR, the circuit went dead.

There is nothing on the fuse panel door that has anything close to how the cable is marked. Does anyone know where this line is fed from?

    Thanks

The wires trace to a connector with wires marked Spare LVD 1, Spare Batt 1, Spare Batt 2, Spare Ignition 1 & 2.

I found the fuse panel in the sleeper has the same fuse names as the ones above. But all the fuses are good. Can anyone give me a clue as to what else could cause the spare power sources on this connector to not have power when it did once before?

A SWR test on a 100w Galaxy is what caused the circuit to stop working. So my expectation is to find a blown fuse somewhere.

Have you checked the fuse box under the hood firewall LH side? This is the only other fuse location. I haven't been able to identify the circuit your referring to by description. There are alot of auto reset breakers on the inside box. Have you checked those as well. They do not take much abuse. Feel them for heat or check for open.

Alright, I will check that out.

I have randomly checked fuses and relays, on both sides of the firewall and in the sleeper compartment. I fond no faulty fuses or relays.

    Thanks

Chassis number and wire number would help. Wire number should be printed on it every few inches.
Check all fuses, fuses are not clearly labeled.

    Inthedark Thanks this.

There are 3 fuses in this, which are ok,

I removed the splice and ran a dedicated 12ga line to the battery box so the camera and CB have their own dedicated connection now. I'm not sure what the dead circuit powers, I will try to get it resolved as I get time.

    Thanks for your help
