I am going with brake fade. Dude shouldnt have ridden the brakes as much as he did. At least those trees were alot softer than a building and no people killed

Someone clue me in as to how you have brake trouble in a residential/business area? I can understand airlines leaking and maybe a gladhand popping off, but witnesses say he was emitting smoke. PA has some steep hills...friggin everywhere... but if you're in town you shouldn't be going fast enough to smoke your brakes.

 

If they are out of adjustment and just a couple actually doing the work, it doesn't take much to get them smoking.
A few years ago one of the state mechanics adjusted the brakes backwards on a state dump truck, driver left the shop and was killed when he went down the mountain. The mechanic went to prison. I do not know how long.
