Looks like it's going to have a huge parking lot. Drivers will probably be too scared to park there.

The abandoned TS right there didn't lend them a clue? Maybe it was "too" close. :)

The owners of the old truckstop got themselves in a bind over water. The article I read said they were using an Ag well to avoid paying for residential water use or something to that effect. It used to be a decent stop before it started getting run into the ground.

I wonder if they’re not looking at existing fuel stops that could be remodeled and such.

If they are all TA franchises, that might limit where they will be built to avoid scavenging business from other corp TA's.

    Was a nice bar,hoisted quite a few there,good food,too. Spent lots of time there,back in the 70's,80s. Never a problem with parking,either.
Used to hang out in Mollys, too.

Sheridan has a cute little functional truckstop next to the POE up there. Virtually the same property.

That little truckstop had a happy staff, even in the dead of winter. I don't know where they got that from...

Scale moved out north of town a while back and is now a joint port of entry with Montana. There’s also a new truckstop in Sheridan now too.

Back when the scale was in town we used to just pull into the truckstop when the scale was busy, wait a few minutes, then leave. They used to be miserable to deal with. One lady would make a pen mark on your log book and next time you got inspected you had to make sure and take the correct book into her.
