Starting to be more Prevalent here .[IMG]..

Very Common in New Zealand, though...

Measure, measure, measure and espically center pin to pin! I am sure many have done it before. Not sure what year they made the change (2005 ish) , but the newer pins and bushings are metric. Thread is different, but I think O/D is nearly same @ 1 3/4 like the old 5295 threaded bushing. All those garbage rubber pin/bushing assy have replacement in threaded thru Paccar and aftermarket. We still spec everything with threaded greasable. Pete has been KW style for awhile too. Spring of A is 4" wide like newer Paccar. Springs in my A are K223-778 (59-214) three leaves rated @ 12,200lbs if you wanna compare.

Mine are probably the same. 4" wide and they look to be about 50-3/4" center of front pin to center of rear pin. Do they still have availability on those K223-778 springs? I know my passenger side one is definitely toast. It was sagged about an inch lower than the driver's side with just engine weight on the axle.

Now is the time for a single leaf and air ride. Run dual leveling valves and the front will sit level even with the old springs

I've thought about it actually. The old springs are done though and need to be replaced. They actually dip down below the top surface of the axle they're so bagged out lol.

No problem getting springs, wouldn't pay OEM price. Spring S.R.I. number is 59-214 and quick Google search shows for about $370.00 USD a piece. Steering arm would be the pain of the newer style axle. My FF941 has brakes. Is your steer knuckle drilled for a brake spider? Picture from spring catalog with some info on the spring. You measure from center of pins along the arch to the center pin. PD means pad/3 springs/ and two more pads. KIMG2071.JPG
