Deliver to FedEx. Drive through their tractor/trailer wash. Get out and use your wool wash mitt with some dawn on it, drive back through their tractor/trailer wash. Repeat as necessary. 3 times is my record. Truck looked good for basically free.
RainX all my windshield/windows. I like watching the bugs ricochet off. I never use my washer fluid for bug removal. It just makes a mess and pushes the bug goo around.
I use mothers or whatever is cheap to polish the aluminum on my steers. Takes me about 5 minutes a wheel. My truck has those black wheel covers in the drives. I do that every couple of weeks.
Rinse my motor off and spray some of the bits with armor all or cheapest. I’m not trying to win a truck show just make DOT think twice.
A clean and shiny WE truck is a pretty rare sight...like a shooting star.
I’ve always wanted to go to Maryland and watch @MACK E-6 favorite coups freak at my truck. I think they might frame a picture of me. LOL
Looking for the best washer fluid

Anyhow, I had just left the house and got pulled in for a level 1 in a rest area in Alabama and was kind of sweating bullets...
DOT man says, "Maaaan, this ol' thing is clean. Guess I won't be getting any violations off this one. We'll have you on your way in a minute."
Got a sticker for it.otterinthewater Thanks this. -
I call it the sniff test. Get by that and they let you roll on. -
Try to avoid using the truck stop squeegee at the fuel island to wash the windows. There is often diesel fuel and DEF mixed in from people that do odd things... Just pick up a spray bottle, and your own squeegee. Put some water and a few drops dish soap in the spray bottle and only use that to clean the glass.
Alot of truck stops sell those brass pads for cleaning, like a steel wool pad but made of brass. Those will help get the grime off the windshield. When you use one of those you can feel the resistance bumpy spots from the grime stuck on the windshield. Don't need to press hard, just more elbow grease.
Once the grime is off the cheap washer fluid will do get the job done. A good set of wiper blades help, wiper blades don't seem to last as long as they used to.Guitar Hero and buddyd157 Thank this. -

I use the cheapest blue washer fluid I can find, just put a drop of dawn into it, just a drop.
Guitar Hero and skellr Thank this. -
I don’t think anything would have helped here. Last week in North Dakota.
