Problem: can't get our new Kenworth into the alley where a potential customer needs their goodies delivered, going to need a day cab to make the turn.

So, need to find a local outfit that'll take our trailer and make the delivery to the customer for us and return the empty trailer to our driver.

What's a company like that called? What are they going to be listed under, so I can call a few for quotes?

It’s Power Only. Could be considered a redelivery to some. Just find a local company and hire them for a Power Only redelivery. Or, any broker could do it for you as well.

I have not heard the terms in years, but cartage and drayage companies. Just about any local trucking company has hosteling trucks they run trailers around town with.

Try a local towing company, many of them have day cab tractors.See what they would charge to spot the trailer in the door.

Back home the one word comes to mind. Drayage. Its a very old word. But it is exactly what you need.

You talked about a tractor with big sleeper etc cannot get around corner to get to the trailer. One must beg the question is how in world did that trailer get there in it's 53 foot glory? Hmmm?

A wrecker can do it. But you'll pay dearly. And you have to get it back out.

What's the WB on the new Kenworth?

Or a cape cod fishing town built since the Colonial time before we were America. I managed to parrallel park a Semi and howling reefer in high end frozen setpoint at -30 bottom. Fed 8 meters, made sure all wheels within 4 inches of the curbing and fed two more meters to the cars front and back of me so I can walk across to get breakfast at the diner doughnut shop.

Sure the Law showed up measured it all, eyeballed the meters, looked at me and my freightliner CAT cap in the window working on breakfast. No wasting time. Gotta go. No tickets either. Street was cobble stone though. Makes for a interesting problem when the 5ht wheel needed more greasing with that.

To this day I don't know how in the world I got out of that blessed town. I got in so many people's way that's for sure.

    My load?

One Tuna in the back of the reefer at -30 Supposed to go to Japan by air or some such out of Boston during the beginning of the big dig. What a painful trip that was.,

Yes one #### fish to Japan, by air. At the Boston airpoint. No this is not a lunch counter story. Maybe someone can explain to me in fish school why they would spend all that money on 18 fat wheels carting one #### fish as if it was bullion of gold or something. SHeesh.

One tuna makes a lot of sushi. One sold in Japan earlier this year for $3 million USD. There's a video of it below.
