what are YOU going to do someday if your company installs them??

what are YOU going to do someday if you're an o/o and YOUR INSURANCE company makes you install them..??

what are YOU going to do someday, if you are an o/o and ALL insurance companies demand them, or you don;t get any insurance?

    those are the better questions.

I don't really care, they can watch me jerk off if they want to. The blinking light does bother me however because it distracts me... Oh squirrel.

So I just put tape over it. Anyway, if I was an O/O and it would save me over $1000 a year on insurance, I'd probably have one in my own truck too.

Since I'm not a driver and my company doesn't use them, can someone explain to me what issue they have with the cameras? I like to try and understand as much as I can.

It’s really creepy that they can watch you at any time.
It may not stream live video but they do take random snap shots of you and can download a lot of video of you .

Whatever job you do. How would you feel having a camera 3 feet away from your face. But in this case. Your truck is your home so it is recording you 24/7. You can close the curtain but once you open them, there it is!

People nowadays don't have a backbone. They believe this lie that it is for "safety". Just another way they're trying to get us accustomed to being watched 247 everywhere we go.

If all drivers walked out of the company that puts them in, that said company will pay the extra or won't take the discount for having them in.

Forward facing cameras are ok with me, but driver facing and or inside audio recording is just wrong and invasive.

Maybe, on a quiet, straight stretch, you could aim vewwy carefuwwy and shoot a load in their 'eye'.

If your doing your job why do you care, this is a place of work not your living room, When its time to say goodnight cover the thing up.
I run my own dashcam, it records both sides, but I also work for different companies as a on call temp driver, So I look at it as covering my butt if nothing else,, I also do a pretrip and a post trip walk around recording it , as well as I always snap a picture of the trailer number, followed by the fifth wheel being locked properly on to the trailer, immediately after hooking to a trailer.
Unlike a lot of drivers I find the cameras to protect us as well as the company and they have saved my bacon several times and even gotten me out of speeding tickets...So I like them I dont like that companies make it very difficult to get a copy of there videos. But then that's why I run my own, and you can get a decent quality camera now for around 50 bucks.

There have been many times at my work that I wish I was on camera but never in my personal life. (I am around and/or handle large amounts of money quite often on top of being a female Transportation Coordinator in a line of work where many men do not care to interact with a woman at times.)

My company is big on safety but would never dream of doing the cameras facing the drivers for many reasons.

I appreciate you explaining it to me. Since I'm not a driver and the drivers here don't use them, I genuinely want to know these issues in case I'm ever faced with defending the drivers.

I will never have one. God bless America and the freedom to tell any company to F themselves if they want a camera on me.

Besides I have 2 blow up dolls. A sheep and a pig. Don’t think they would understand.

    Who’s your daddy?

    baaahhh
