The only way your making money by the ton is if you run over weight, and by that I mean way flat out heavy,
We charge 4 hours to show up and anything over 4 hours is 8 hours, they want the truck for the day they can pay the day rate.

How much per hour and/or per distance should I charge with a single axle dump . Roughly 8-10 ton at a time . Do we pay for the stone too ?

Depends on location. And you can charge whatever you want. But in my location, it is 85 an hour plus half hour travel. No matter the distance but i stay within 20 miles. Usually 8 hour minimum. Usually i work a 9-10 hour day 6 days a week. and dont go further than 20 miles. 120 gallon fuel tank, i fill up once every 3 days. Like is said, its all where you live. Luckily for me, im in a good area where triaxle truck service is booming. No, i dont haul tonnage unless its a high rate which happens a few times a year. 1200 bucks in a 8 hour day aint bad on tonnage if you can get it
