    Never heard about it.

Mine seem to work troublefree for now (200000 km).

Really adblue system can be problematic, some sensors maybe, drivetrain is generally considered bulletproof.

    Oxbow and daf105paccar Thank this.

Pretty common issue in NA. Just search Volvo injector cup on this site. Everyone I know with a Mack MP motor (Volvo) has had injector and cup issues including both in our fleet.

I think, the issues should be solved now, since they switched to common rail. I would assume, they redesigned the whole head.

They didn't redesign the head. It's an updated Delphi common rail with three unit injectors supplying rail under valve cover. I have heard of cup issues already.

Can’t understand why every truck has a sleeper......

If length and weight are so important over there a day cab would fit right in......

There are some of us that never sleep in a truck......:-/

Bean Jr., haycarter, Oxbow and 4 others Thank this.

timber truck drivers always need sleeper cab and very few will buy without.
you need space for rainsuit, need space to change clothes and spare clothes.
they often take nap while waiting.
length is not so important, we dont use our full allowed length for timber trucks.
in germany they save every cm of space to get longer bodies
weight is about 100-150kg over short cab, depending on brand

EDIT: volvo dont offer FH with day cab, only FM or FMX

I'm at home every day and i have a sleeper in which i can standup with a rooftop airco.:)

Enddump trucks which are paid by tonnage all have sleepers.

Hell, even some LTL local drivers have a (small) sleeper.

It could be because we have higher gross weights the little extra weight off the sleeper is not important

ps resale value off a daycab is near zero.
    Nobody will buy those.

Cat sdp, Oxbow, 98989 and 2 others Thank this.
