My father liked to put gravel into a persons hub cap when that person got married. He said it was better than the tin cans. Only problrm is, cars dont use hub caps anymore.

Just found out that a good friend of mine was involved in a really bad car accident last weekend. Ive known the guy for several years, and now we both work for the same company... He's a mechanic.

Just before 10 pm last Saturday he (driver) and his teenage son (passenger) were south bound on US91 in his 2014 4 door car. A teenager in an F-150 was north bound and fell asleep drifting across the centerline hitting my friend head on... The speedlimit is 55 mph.

Everyone survived the accident but all were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. My friend had to be cut out of his car, which was totaled. He suffered a broken hip, broken pelvis, and a broken femur. His son also sustained some bone fractures. Both my friend and his son were wearing thier seatbelts... Thank God! But he will be out of work for a very long time... So my company is passing the donation plate around to all of our employees that wish to help... I got a 50 waiting to add to the pot... Hopefully I can come up with more after payday.

Its just so crazy... It just doesnt feel real... Hes a great guy, always got a smile and quick with a friendly joke. Hope he gets healed up good and proper... It's not going to be the same without him around the shop.

 

Could have been a lot worse for sure.
