    $40,000 truck

$10,000 emissions mess left from previous owner

$6,000+ for a transmission & clutch replacement because company drivers are animals.

$8,000 in miscellaneous repairs (air lines, starter, a/c, fan clutch, alt., belts, hoses, etc...

    $3,500 for tires

Ok that’s your 1st year in a 500,000 mile used company truck....that’s if the seriously neglected engine holds together.

At $1.32 a mile you’re sunk before you ever launched.

On a side note, if that $25k is burning a hole in your pocket dm me. I will gladly help with that.

You're not blacklisted and any actual decent company doesnt give a flying F what some jerkoff at Swift has to say other than yes you are employed with them.

Megas love to jack up a drivers DAC, but your driving record is what speaks for itself. A clean record is the key.

Leasing a truck to Swift is a terrible move as well. As someone who owns a truck, you need to think gross revenue, not per mile revenue. The only per mile you need to worry about is your per mile cost to operate. What if the freight you're hauling pays on average $2.55/mi, that means Swift gets $1.52/mi. and you only only get $1.03/mi? That sounds like a surefire plan for success.

Can you even list your fixed costs? What about variable costs? Do you know how to work on the truck you want to buy? How about what some of the repair costs for certain things are?

Before you start a business that is bound to fail why don't you at least try putting in some applications?

You should probably take a 34 and rethink things.

If you own the truck, no ####ty ### camera. If you're lease operating the truck, Swift installs a camera until you finish buying it outright, basically making you a glorified company driver. So while I'd also advise a newer truck, you do NOT want Swift having any percentage of ownership of the truck if you don't want a ####ty ### drivecam with its impossibly tight trigger parameters. And I'm not being facetious in saying it's impossible; my safety score is in the 100's because I refuse to brake check whatever poor sap is behind me every time some ####### cuts me off. Swift literally expects me to drive like I'm the only person on the road, no matter how much Victor (the current head of the safety department in Phoenix) tries telling me otherwise. His department's policies say enough on their own

You obviously dont know much about trucking. There are other venues you can do besides work for $1.32 a mile. Dont kid yourself, $1.32 a mile sucks. If you think your getting a hell of a deal with a 2013 Volvo with 500,000 miles your kidding yourself. You need to do your homework.

You are just like all the other guys who tried it and failed. Your wanting that fast dollar. Your 25k is burning a hole in your pocket and you cant stand it. How about you give me that 25k and I'll keep it safe for you until you get your head out of your ###.

You said it all when you said, " I know $1.32 is terrible".

Yes, that IS terrible. It won't keep enough revenue stream to keep your truck running.
