I did my training like this more of a team, night shift, top bunk. He wasn’t a straight A hole. We both liked cars so we got along. But this guy is really trying to hoard miles. I stopped, eat, and drank when I needed. I tried to run as hard as possible though. We still put in some good miles. This guy is getting full miles paid at his rate which is 5-6k miles to his pocket per week while the company gives you the training pay. Sucks but sucking it up is a good mentality you got. You’ll be relieved and learn more on your own anyways. I did anyways.

What is the trainer suppose to do. generally the only compensation he gets for having a trainee in the truck, is the team miles. If he is sitting in the passenger seat, then he has to log on duty and could not drive his miles, so he would not get any compensation for letting someone get some miles under their belt. In fact he would likely be taking a pay cut from what he could do solo.
