And you can start off by taking over two full spaces as a bobtail for your first truckstop meal. =) Be careful many other bobtails will park near you. /teasing.

Oh yeah. Drop your reefer in one spot and park next to it. Try to get on the high side of the transmission in the truckstop parking lot if you want to fit in with these new age drivers also

Trucker Path is a great app. Check it out and you'll soon see why.

The Cat Scale Weigh My Truck app is great too. No need to talk into a speaker, park and go inside as long as the app has your payment method on file.

The big chain truckstop apps are a must too. More times than not I wake up at a Pilot or Loves and got to have my shower. With the app you can order up the shower from the truck and get the pin code. No need to go to the counter and deal with them (very nice since not even awake yet).

At Pilot I have the fuel setup before even pulling out of my parking space. Just pull up to any pump and enter a pin code.

EDIT: And I forgot the paid parking using the app....If I know I'll be showing up late somewhere and I know the lots will be full I'll buy a spot at a TA/Petro or Pilot/FJ from the app early in the day. It's a relief to know I have a spot waiting on me when I show up (I don't do ramps).

Don’t be surprised when; Your collision mitigation system sounds off or brakes. All you got is a cow in a field.

Truck Path app is a combination moving map & truck stop directory with info on restaurants, parking. I was away from OTR for 18 years. There were barely any cellphones and no GPS when I last did it. A Garmin or Rand Mcnally truck GPS is invaluable. Get one. There are a lot more truckstops than before but there are a lot lot more trucks.

My trailer is clearly identified as a food truck. So I am unsure how that effects my parking experience. BUT I have been able to park most places in any town without any knocks on my window.

Walmart, Grocery store parking lots, strip malls, empty lots, movie theater lots, etc.

Just please do not leave trash and we can continue to park in the back of these lots. Go inside and buy a salad and some milk or whatever. Then go back to your truck to enjoy your purchases and close the curtains and the rest is history.
