My husband is almost finished with his 5 week training period and then take his test and supposedly get his own truck through his company and be on his way....that is supposed to happen towards the end of this week.

NOW....my question. His trainer is HORRIBLE. My heart breaks for my husband everytime he texts me or the rare chance he gets to call me. He is constantly berates my husband....telling him how stupid he is....he is a loser A piece of crap. They are supposed to be practicing these maneuvers when they arent driving....like last night ...they got to their appt for this morning at 7pm last night...perfect time to practice. The trainer leaves again (everytime they get extra time like this he leaves and doesnt come back until around 2 am).. this time he didnt show up until 9 this morning ....and no practice time. My husband will ask him a question on how to do something and he tells my husband he wont answer that because it was the dumbest ####### question hes ever heard. If my husband performs a task without asking a question he gets yelled at for not asking questions. He cant do anything right and this goes on constantly everyday. My husband is at the end of this rope and last night admitted that he doesnt even want to live anymore....at least then he wouldnt have to listen to this guy yell at him. The company already once brought them in to their corporate office without notice...rerouted them 350 miles out of their way to talk to this guy but we have no idea about what. He would never say. He threatens my husband that hes going to tell the company hes not ready and make him stay in training 2 more weeks, which is ridiculous. Last Thursdsy was the final straw when the trainer told my husband that he was a loser of a man and if he ever found himself in our hometown he was going to grab me and #### the #### out of me and I would absolutely love it.

Sooo...my question is....I have begged my husband to call the corporate office and report this man He won't do it...he says during orientation they explained they would not always get along. This, in my opinion, has gone way past a disagreement. He says it will make him look like a wuss and he just wants to pay his dues and get done with training. I am fed up... I cant stand to hear this happening to him...and to hear the tiredness in his voice. He is exhausted....what would happen if I called the company and reported this guy? I asked my husband tonight if I could and he told me no but this man is my best friend....he is my world and I feel helpless just sitting here worrying about him. Is my husband right? Should I really not call his company and file a complaint?

You calling the company will make his lfe worse. Hubby gets the reputation of being p whipped. Hubby should have caved in trainers skull when he talked about violating you.

Believe me....he wanted too. I was screaming through the phone to stop and think....that it's bad enough not seeing him for almost 8 weeks....I didnt want to become the wife of an inmate.

Thanks for clarifying and backing my man up.....I'll just continue to listen and let him blow off steam. Crossing my fingers this exercise comes to an end quickly. He never tells my husband what they are doing/where they are going until its happening. If he asks the guy threatens to throw him off his truck in the middle of nowhere.

Why would he not just ask the company for a new trainer?

It took the company a week to get him a trainer and he is ready to get the training over. He was already 2 weeks into it when they guy really started to go over the top nuts on him and he didnt want to waste another week looking for a new trainer and starting this process over again. He also didnt want the company to think he was a whomp and couldnt take it. The thing is...my husband knows this business. His dad was a truck driver...they ended up owning their own trucking company with a ton of trucks running wood chips locally for about 20 years before they retired and sold the business. My husband has thick skin....he is rough around the edges....if this maniac has gotten to him then he really must be a truly and evil bad guy.

One more week to go and he will be in his own truck. Suck it up. I understand it's not easy.

It sounds like your husband is not getting the proper training. If this trainer says your husband isn't ready, that might be a good thing. Hopefully your husband will get a real trainer for a couple weeks and become the driver he wants to be.

Karma has a way of settling a score.
Your husband has a thick skin to deal with the trainer as he has.

    Good luck.

He is ready....the guy doesnt even pay attention to him anyway. My husband said he has been asleep in the bed all day because he was out all night last night. My husband operates the truck and handles everything all day everyday until his 10 hours is up. The guy only comes out of the bed when they are unloading/loading. Everything else....my husband does it by himself everyday.
