little 'no name' fuel stop; a block off the major road and on the way to a bunch of chemical and petroleum facilities. Took over trucking for one facility and one of their guys heard my guys talking about the cash rebate at the 'no name' place and the light bulb came on to make him understand why his company drivers would come close to pushing their rigs to fuel there.....

I once drained a NJ no name of 2K in gallons one day at 1.30 on 2.00 fuel retail.

He lost money to about three miles worth of trucks.

I bobtail in & fuel at my local walmart (Murphy's?) all the time. Diesel is 35-40 cents per gallon cheaper than the Pilot out by I75.

Someone above said it too, but just use an outside pump so not to bother the 4 wheelers & no one bats an eye..

Also I go into Walmart & buy a gift card for whatever dollar amount I'm going spend on fuel. Using the gift card at the pump gets you 2 benefits.

1- you get the extra 3 cents off per gallon the gas card holders receive.
2- the pump doesn't shutdown every $75 bucks & make you re-swipe like while using a credit or debit card..

One thing to keep in mind with using the "Auto Diesel" pumps at places like PFJ and Loves is that you won't get your fuel discount through Comdata unless you use the truck diesel pumps. And it will take forever with the smaller nozzle.

HA. no. We bought a decent supercharged Century back in the 2000's on a windfall oppertunity after our previous vehcile suffered a fatal and natural death due to unbalanced crank shaft aft the main bearings on each one wore out of line for whatever reason.

It was a good car, we had it 10 years did everything with it. It did and does have two flaws. One, the transmission has a plastic actuator in it to direct fluid to the converter to gain power to the wheels. That plastic dies after 10 years and need a new replacement.

    Cost 1786.00.

Sold the vehicle for 1860 off a 9500 vehicle 10 years prior. So for what it was it was a good car.

The other weakness is the persistant failure of buick to build torque engines. You have to rev em into the 5grands in to high horse before you can do something with them. (Ugh...)

The early lacrosses remedied that a little bit. But they never really know how to build a engine. or transmission. And there is the fatal flaw.

The difference is the truck stops know they have a captive audience...... and jack the price of fuel.
