Hello everyone, does anybody know of a place in Toronto area where I can buy cheap aftermarket truck parts. I'm an owner operator and do alot of work on my truck myself. I know couple places like traction, fleetbrake, can truck, I'm wondering if there's more that are cheaper. Thank you.

Your best bet is to look online. The prices in the States are seriously cheaper than the typical Canadian rip off prices.

Sadly the shipping to Canada is obscenely expensive. Again, another Canadian rip off.

But if speed isn't a critical issue, then pick the closest US location to you. Open a shipping address/mailbox at one of the numerous companies that run along the entire border for this purpose. Then order your parts to that address. Usually it's free shipping in the States. Think of the savings when you order 8 new drives at almost half the price up here, and they're shipped free to that mailbox.

Go down once a month or whatever schedule you find best. Grab the stuff. Declare it at the border, otherwise you could be ######. So yeah you pay tax of your cheap purchases. You still save a lot of money anyways, even with the again, Canadian rip off taxes.

The bonus being you fill up your pickup with real cheap fuel while you're at it.

This is exactly what I do and I've saved 10s of thousands over the years. I'm out west, and granted, my trip to the borer only takes 20 minutes. But I have lived a few hundred miles away before, so I did go down once a month or whenever.

Oh, commercial entry BS paperwork hassle every time? Only if you want that. I hate that nonsense. So gosh, I tell them I picked up an old beater semi tractor and I'm fixing it up to be a 5th wheel hauler. Sometimes the border guys look at me squirrely, but never hassled. lol

    Good luck.
