My favorite move is when they take loads posted by dealers on CD then 10 minutes later post the exact same load for 25 to 40% less.
Do United Road leased drivers get the same type crap they post on CD

All of that aside, was told they paid all the bills when the mfg for the MV-1's went under a few years ago. It was something like $80k they got stuck holding the tab for. But again, was told all carriers were paid.

I dont know how they keep drivers, i saw some claim of $63 k average salary. Who would haul cars for that pay ? I guess thats what to expect when wallstreet bankers buyout auto teansport companies.

They seem to be at all time lows out of west point ga. Full loads of Telluride to Dallas/ Ft. Worth 2&3 drops for $2080 thats about another 20 % drop from the already disgraceful rates.

I don't know about the original question regarding CD rates, but from the rail yard O/Os' get 80% of the rate where I as a sub hauler I get 95% to as high as 125% when the units are old and have to go. I don't see too many of their own truck in there...

I’ll move URS and metrogistics when they need it moved and are actually pay a decent rate. Otherwise I’ll let some other sucker move it for pennies. I’ve learned we do have a say on what the rates are. Just don’t haul for cheap and they will have to pay more once the morons go broke hauling for pennies.

I’ve managed to make a decent living with my 1 ton and a 3 car wedge. Started out with paid equipment and only moved cheap freight until I had enough ratings on CD to be able to get loads from any broker big or small. This year I bought my first ever vehicle on payments and managing to gross over 16k a month running a lane that works best for me. I know it will slow down soon but I’ve made enough to be able to survive past the winter and make it into next summer. In January my company will be starting it’s 3rd year. It’s easy to lose your ### in this business but you can also make a decent living if you do it right. I’m not afraid to pick up a wrench and get my hands dirty, to be honest doing office paperwork is more annoying then servicing my equipment. That being said, I’ll take what I’m doing now over my last job (warehouse order selector w-2 with crap pay and lots of taxes being taken out). I love the freedom of working for myself and being my own boss. Even when I have to press on the brokers to get paid.
