i never had to provide ANY employer with a yearly DMV report.....they are full of it.

only when i applied to new jobs, was it required.

each year, like mentioned above, i'd have to fill out a report as to whether or not i got any tickets.

I hand them a MVR when I hire on.

Any more MVRs or whatever they want comes out of their people and their fees. I don't see those fees out of my check.

If I did I would demand a copy since I paid for the #### thing.

Did you make sure you read everything youve had to sign for being employed at your company?? Sometimes companies Will slip a consent form into another form you have to sign. But like others have mentioned, the carrier is responsible for checking your MVR annually, therefore thier expense. ... Only thing they can require of you is to sign saying I didnt get any tickets in the last 12 month's, OR I got tickets XYZ in the last 12 month's.

frankly, since they went ahead and took that money out of you, tell them you want the ORIGINAL COPY, that YOU PAID for.

let them KEEP the photo copy.

do not hesitate to tell them you want that DMV report.!!

i think ours up here is like $21.50 now..the $1.50 is a "computer fee" the state gets on all transactions.

so $20.00 for the actual report...ripoff's all of'em....

That is one of my buttons in orientation.

They throw down a inch thick stack for me to sign over the next three children and so on.

    I sit and read.

COME ON COME ON SIGN SIGN FAST were busy.

    Orly? Wait.

They usually leave the room until I start signing

In all likelihood, you signed a “driver record release” form that also stated periodic reviews.
Just a standard form and practice.. since FMCSA requires the Carrier to check annually.
Some Carriers may check more often also.

As far as charging you for it...tacky.
