I live in Tooele and the freeways don't have a shoulder in a lot of areas. You can see there is not much to obstruct the view on the freeways here. One of two things had to have happened.
    1) Driver inattention.
    2) Car just pulled onto road with no warning.
If it is 1 then it’s jail time, if it’s two I hope they can prove it.

Tooele is pronounced (Two Will O) not (Tool E). Now you can say it like a loco local.:biggrin_25520:

This suggestion that a truck with superior forward vision to a 4 wheeler, should not be able to see a slow moving vehicle is a funny defense for a driver that was obviously not paying attention, These are normally posted by the same drivers that state they will not run 4 way flashers in a slow moving truck, because the cars can see a slow moving truck.

This driver would not want me on the review panel for this accident. I'm not saying it could not happen to me, but that in 3 million miles it has not happened to me.

Granted this was out in the desert. But impeding the flow of traffic is a common occurrence.

I"m not sure if the 45 minimum still holds these days. Cops can harrrass truckers but don't seem to do a darned thing about cars. Those 45 minimum signs went bye bye with the 55 speed limit signs. There's a bunch of them sitting on dot property north of Tremonton.

Unless you were around then whose signs were. Most cars don't even know or remember.

Its not jail time- come on- Its an accident

Im looking at the whole picture here........Doing 35 in a 75 mph zone- Not taking sides here.....
were her flashers on? Were there shoulders?
I personally would never drive a CMV at 75 mph,no matter what the speed limits are THESE DAYS- Too Much traffic and you cant get her slowed in enough time to avoid something like this at 40 ton.
So don't argue that 1 with me.

I think its partly both to blame-And unfortunately someone lost their life......Tomorrows another day.
