Looking to get hire onto a company where I can start as a tank driver.
I look at some Mega Carriers but they don't hire from CA.

Does anyone knows of a company that hires from CA. Also, will take me with my experience?
    Manual truck preferred.

    I have a CDL A. which hasn't been used in 1.5 yr.
I do have 1.5 - 2 year OTR before I came back home to work a local gig (local trash company CDL B vehicle used).

Also, If there any oil field companies that will hire me and have with a room to myself. Let me know

They are now in Visalia Ca.
Yeah the River would hire you. They have nice trucks. I know a few guys over there. Or who have moved on to my company.

There's Button out of Dixon. I work for them. Don't know if they'll hire you with a lull in your resume. I'm certain if you had two years putting up with the Rivers BS and then came over it'd be good. Button is about the best company I've worked for. No sticks though. Volvo 740's. Good equipment. None of the pump tanks are older than 2014. New trucks every 3 years. Depending on experience .46 to .54 cents starting.
Button has been very good to me. If your a $hithead you won't last. Everyone in that office including the owner drives. And when almond season is going they put in the hours.

    Prim0 and dwells40 Thank this.

@Echo5kilo - didn't Chinese investors buy most of the almond groves in California?
Seems like I remember when some disease hit the almond groves, 10 years or so ago, and Chinese investors jumped in and purchased almond groves.

Ever since you guys mention them. I been looking at there reviews. Trying to find as much information as I can about them.

Reviews I found are mixed. Some say they don't pay for waiting or detention pay. The communication between and office staff not the best. But, only finding that from terminals not from CA. I notice they are doing auto transmissions, some manuals, Really hoping there an option to choose. Liking a manual option.

I will call them today or tomorrow if recruiter are not in. Thoughts on questions to ask beside general one? Such as advanced questions.

I have no clue. My company hauls into the plants from the fields. I've never done it though.

If your referring to Indian River. I'm going to be honest. They are the low rent district of the food grade side of trucking. But it's a door in. If tanker is what you want to do. SS Skykos is another tanker company. California Freight Haulers is Jim Aartman. Cherokee etc. Your not limited to The River. But it is a option.

Oh and no, Indian River I don't believe pays detention time. Most others pay after two hours. I've seen the River sitting at the Hotel Tropicana in City of Industry Ca for days on end. Like $60.00 dollars a day or some crap.

Yes, If need be i will go with IRT.
Yes, looking to get into Tanker. With a Regional or OTR (I do not need to be home, No kids or Wife). Reason why is to save money and not pay rent :)

Also, need it to be manual trucks. I don't want limit myself to just auto truck.
I like the idea of Man Camp with my own room. 12-14hr days. But I can't seem to find info on them right now. I'll keep on looking.

Ill look into the other company you mentioned.
