What's bad is those white Volvo dryage hauling companies that give you prayer rug and a couple zip ties as your pension , and or severance pay.

You know, everyone has the amount of money that works for them. If may be the fact that he's been out of work for a bit and he's just glad to get the ball back rolling. I remember having that exact feeling. You then feel motivated to get there and make more.....wait til that trainee starts seeing 900 -1100 or better weekly. Then he/she will see greener pastures

There are a lot of them but it ain't 3 million of those jobs paying what you make....location of a driver can at times limit them to just OTR. You're fortunate to have LTL, many places have waiting lists through the roof. I would never go back to local though. I like being on the road even though I may never do better than about 60k

Making money is fun. Even a jaded hard one like me would crack a smile at a nice 2000 dollar check for example. Ive always loved cold hard cash in my favor.

However it's expenses you need to follow up on. And as long you have money you did not spend every week building up to where you just see the check and go eh, toss it into the pile. No need to spend it today for a while. THAT is a very good place to be in.

    I just did the math.
    They said up to $70k.
They said 2 weeks out .. 1 week in.
    They said up to .45/mile

With those stats you'll actually work about 35 weeks at 2800 miles = approx 96000 miles per year which total roughly $44,000/yr.
.02 bonus gets you to about $46k

Signing bonus only happens in year 1.
I didn't see anything other pay incentives.

    If you worked all 52 weeks at 2800 miles and .45 + .02 you'd make $68,432

You can't take a day off to make that $70k.

    I'M REALLY GOOD AT MATH.
(except on the rare occasion I make a small mistake)

Waiting lists are everywhere, that's part of doing what you have to do to get those jobs. Most people just want a easy out tho. I did time part time in the warehouse knowing there were better things coming but most people won't do that. I'm also in Florida where we are all poor and nobody makes any money if you listen to anyone on here lol.
