The most stupid alcohol related thing I ever got into was a 10.00 bottle of bourbon. Maybe a quart, nearly so as it sat.

4 of us were hardened drinkers by that night. Tolerance and everything.

A 10.00 bottle sat in front of each one of us.

15 minutes later all gone. 8 minutes after that I don't remember anything. I don't know what the percentage of poisoning was, probably closer to .40 than anything. Should have been lethal that night.

It was a month before I had any meaningful input of food and drink.

Very stupid.

 

I still involuntarily retch whenever I happen to smell scotch, for similar reasons. I was 17 at the time.

 

For me Absolut Vodka was/is the devil!!
