Not a boomer talk. Gen X'er talk. But regardless of the label it's just fiscally conservative talk. I was so scarred by The Recession in the way that two generations previous were scarred by The Depression that I have saved and done without my entire adult life and quite frankly I am getting pretty pissed off that there hasn't been more pain.

Just don't worry about it, File bankruptcy and let someone else bail you out. You will be happier.

Don't stop War Games.....just change gears.

Challenge yourself to do what you've always wanted to do. Yes, it's scary because it's a challenge. But that is after all THE thing isn't it? The challenge? That is what our generation- does.....they rise to a challenge even if they have to create it.

I want to sail around the world. I don't know how to sail and I will probably die but that's the challenge. Aside from Saving another life, I couldn't think of a better way to go. For now though, I have two kids to finish.

Why do you want people to suffer? What good would that bring you?

Because a little bit of tough times, read suffering, is what creates tough and halfway sensible people.

It's good for you. Similar to the way your muscle fibers get torn when you lift weights. It hurts for a while after but you eventually recover stronger.

Or how you can't appreciate what you have until you feel the pain of losing it.

    No pain no gain.

So you’re saying the key to prosperity is a recession?

So you’re about to retire, a recession hits and your 401k takes a dump after working 50 years and now you can’t retire. That’s good for you?

A sixty year old was ~25 in 1982. They've seen what can happen and if it happens again they should have known better. Besides, the Mega's are always hiring

Well Nestle/Dejorno just fired 4000 store delivery drivers and there support people and ive noticed job ads on Indeed and Craigslist are pretty bleak heading into winter when all the dirt drivers and construction folks start sniffing for a job , id stay were you were at until this election is over.
