    Yawn.
The ones that are going OOB are the ones that over saturated their market with needless equipment and expansion during false Boom Time.
    Now they're paying The Piper.

    Quality Companies expand
    cautiously.
Truly stable companies expand without borrowing money.

what i underlined, is so very true.

there was an old store chain here in my area, which they are now an "outlet store", as walmart pretty much buried them.

anyway, i do recall a news article abut thier history.

they NEVER expanded unless they could pay CASH for a new store/location.

    they carried NO DEBT.

for those of you up here in New England, this is the company i speak of.

Curtains, Window Treatments, Bedding & Discount Home Decor | Curtain & Bath Outlet

Ann & Hope is a Rhode Island–based retailer that pioneered practices now common in modern big box stores.

I'm just curious as to how much the foreigners are affecting the industry and price of freight by coming to the U.S. and taking the cheap loads. Their trucks and trailers are always nicer and much newer than mine, usually 2-3 years old at the most from what I can tell. They almost always have teams and run out of CA. I see A LOT of them since I live on the west coast. Are they getting the same type low interest business loans that they get when they open storefronts in the U.S.? If so, I can see imported drivers having an upper hand in the business while they continue to send the message to brokers that it's ok to pay $1.20 per mile for 40,000 lbs to nowhere.

I 100% agree. There's boatloads of drivers out there, both good and bad. The only companies that can't find drivers are the ones that are either too small to be known, ones that set their insurance standards too high or ones smart drivers won't apply to. Businesses will always look for cheaper foreign labor when they can't hire Americans to do their crap jobs, which is happening now.

I wonder if Doctors complain about foreign Doctors driving down the procedure rates? Trucking pays what it pays. Most foreigners I know, don’t work cheap. They work harder than most. And they know Trucking. That’s why their succeeding. Plain and simple. You can compete, or find a different Industry.
