Truth. It didn’t help with the driver appreciation week leading to everyone moving slow because of all the barbecue, food and dock game like “forklift jenga” being played at the hubs.

Not gonna lie, I parked my forklift for a good 45 minutes on Wednesday night to attend the cookout.

I’m one of the few that’s had a peddle run turn into a layover. :biggrin_25523:

Were running on fumes staff wise. I've been sick with 100+ degree fever since Wednesday. Don't worry I didn't miss a single day of work, to short staffed. I had the Will to Power and and powered through it. Didn't help it was 87 degrees out the past 2 days.

Even with 100+ degree fever I managed to get off 33,600lbs between Thursday and Friday for a total 1,673 cases.

Finally Friday afternoon I went to the urgent care clinic near my house I had too, the nurse practitioner looked at me and said your throat is beat red and so is your left ear. What did the medical technician say your temperature was. I said 104.2 degrees.

She said, well I'm going to give you two extra strength Tylenol right now before we leave here and I'm going to give you a shot of Motrin in your butt check. I can't let you walk out of here with that kind of fever.

I tell you what that shot while it hurts is effective within an hour I my fever dropped from 104.2 to 99.9.

    I'm on medication right now.

Thursday was rough rough rough, I was dying got a bunch of lip from my last stop for being late 5 minutes after 4pm. The woman was like I called the company blah blah blah, I'm like I don't care who you called, I just said okay fine. The company isn't going to do anything.

I asked one of the bosses yesterday about it and he said yeah I got some email about it I glanced over it and typed back some generic response and threw it in the garbage can. That was one of those silly accounts there old day was Friday and they would get there delivery around noon and they just had to switch and beg and had to have Thursday and welp when you do things like change your day your service changes beggar's can't be choosers you change your day and you also lose your spot in line and these people changed there day and lose there spot beggar's can't be choosers. Although in today's society most beggars think they can choose.

God was I dragging on Thursday I was like standing in the trailer with my head buried resting on a stack of cases. It's hard working when you're sick.

In the early 1980s Con-Way Central Express a division of CF bought out a company in New York State called Penn Yan Express it was an awful investment for CCX, but one of the things change wise that CCX made was what you guys do at Coca Cola and Coke does it around here. They switched from low capacity non-universal New York State 48' through way doubles to super high capacity 28' universal 28' standard doubles for all the high capacity fun!

Now all that Fanta, Coca Cola, Canada Dry (Coke Bottles Canada dry around here, I know that's different in other parts of the country) but there maybe somebody somewhere (probably a major hospital system) that refuses to settle for just generic regular Shasta "Cola" or "Ginger Ale" or "Orange" from GFS hospitals charge to much for that, that's like the difference between generic 10% ethanol corn gas and The Super #1 EBT Food Mart Gas Station that does nothing but clogs up the carburetor in your lawn mower and using premium marine grade ethanol free Marathon Valve Tech Gas just simply no comparison. You can eat thanks giving dinner out of your lawn mowers carburetor using pure gasoline. Then start it up on one pull of the cord and cut 3 acres.

So you sir are doing the lords work out there. Some sick little boy named Timmy probably had an up set tummy and they gave him some Canada Dry and all of a sudden Timmy was good as new. I only drink Canada dry, however I like it better out of the 20oz bottle or the little glass bottles that they sell to be used in bars with alcohol.

I used to do a big hospital in Willoughby, Ohi0o and across the street from the hospitals dock was a pretty big skilled nursing facility US Foods had the account there, but Coca Cola had the beverage account. Well there's a reason for that.

All that good reverse osmosis bottled water that Coca Cola makes much better then generic hose water. I don't buy bottled water, but when I do I usually buy from one of the pop manufacturers because I know there bottled water is always of superior quality.

I got to tour one of our bottling plants and it's like a 100,000sqft building that is pretty much all water treatment. The actual making soda part is a very small part of the operation. It was crazy to see that 90% of the work seemed to be getting the water where they need it to be.

Coca Cola has very high water quality standards probably the highest in the world. They don't use or trust any municipal tap water at all, they do all there own filtering and cleaning and treating. That's 100 years of innovation right there. Coca Cola has very high quality control standards on the production runs, when was the last time they had a recall on a product? I can't think of a single time.

    When I say, how I say....or else I'm calling!

Because someone really cares if you call lol. At ups we had a wall of shame in the office where the dummest complaints were posted so we could all laugh at them.
