Gotta have coco nuts...
And the other day I stepped on a scale at the pharmacy... I don't believe that is right... 46.35 kgs? That is 102 lbs... A few weeks ago I checked my weight and it was 103 lbs... now I have been eaten even more... and sleeping more.... how did I lose lbs...?
-
And the "Sanitation Agent" visits all the houses regularly... to see if there are buckets with dirty water and open sewage and things like that... because there's A LOT of mosquitoes here....
Then, he puts a mark on the chart on the back of the door....

Hey... "I'm done with posting pictures today...." gotta have my supper now.... trying to gain more lbs...
SL3406, G13Tomcat, RedForeman and 3 others Thank this. -
Love the pictures, A lot of that reminds me of parts of the Navahoe reservation, in New Mexico and Arizona.
Your road to nowhere is my kind of road, in fact throw in some mountains and it would be a lot like what I drive on every day. lol
And the parts of my road that is paved is so full of major pot holes, that we do drive anywhere to avoid them, and nobody even thinks of passing without making contact on the radio because of it. lol
All that said, I am sure it did test your patience, what a pain when things need to get done, to have to go through all that.
I have a feeling time doesn't mean a whole lot to the folks that live there though.G13Tomcat, Rocks, MagnumaMoose and 1 other person Thank this. -
Got to love those E-logs. Driver pulled out of a door going to park, and gets passed by someone walking at a normal pace
Oxbow, Rocks and MagnumaMoose Thank this. -
Loved the pictures, Ms. @Rocks ... made me hungry... off to supper, myself~! Stay well.
ps: About that weight loss, stress and such will do that. You've had both... stress and 'such.'
You'll be fine~! (Wish 'I' could lose a pound, haha!) -
And yes... you are 100% correct when you wrote about time and folks here.... nobody is in a hurry for nothing.... it's an exercise on my patience.... cause I always feel like I need things done for yesterday... But I can't complain much... I have been accomplishing what I need to do in reasonable time.... also resting some... Besides, I came here prepared to spend as much time as I need to get all done... Furthermore, I don't feel like going back trucking in the USA at beginning of winter in an automatic truck....
The second part of my trip hasn't even began... when I arrive in Rio de Janeiro, will face the REAL challenge... to sell an old house that's literally falling apart... and nobody has money to buy anything... but I gotta sell it.... among other things I gotta do too.... -
Not many pictures today... didn't do much... went back to the street fair... bought some veggies...
This is how spinach looks like here... it's definitely different from the spinach in America and it does taste MUCH different...
These are two kings of "rapadura"... made from sugar cane.. they are 100% pure with no chemicals... the color difference is due to the way they are processed..
Rapadura (Portuguese pronunciation: [ʁapaˈduɾɐ]) is unrefined whole cane sugar, typical of Central, and of Latin America in general, which is a solid form of sucrose derived from the boiling and evaporation of sugarcane juice.
It has far more flavor than brown sugar, which is generally just white sugar with a small amount of molasses added back to it. Just like brown sugar, there are two varieties of rapadura; one is lighter and one darker. Unrefined, made from crushed sugar cane, the juice is collected, boiled and poured into molds, where it hardens into blocks.
