Open the dang hood an look for shinny metal where tire is rubbing on springs. If no rubbing check tie rod (ball joints) and alignment. Also check kingpins. Have them check camber also. You have one of those fabricated axles. If that has ever been on a under lift wrecker they could of bent the steer axle. DONT DRIVE IT LIKE THAT !! Your putting your life in danger as well as everyone else's on the road !!
jamespmack, cke and mustang190 Thank this. -
My truck has a bad alignment.
SUPPOSEDLY the kingpins were replaced.
I just get outside wear on the left (+ positive camber) and inside wear on the right. (- camber)
They don't wear like op posted.
I have to rotate mine. Then replace. Roughly 50k miles between tires.
I don't own the truck so it's out of my hands. -
Do NOT use off brand steer tires.
Let me say this once more...
...do NOT USE OFF BRAND STEER TIRES.
Use Goodyear or Michellin.
If you use anything else you are asking for problems that can kill you and everyone around you.jamespmack Thanks this. -
