Must not have been a big emergency if he can take 13 minutes on a traffic stop to write a ticket while supposedly en route to a call.

I suppose that other trooper didn’t need the help after all.

And he increased the likelihood of a wreck stopping a vehicle in rush hour traffic for a ticket. Lots of rubberneckers.

You guys bashing the cop don’t know what the emergency was or if it got handled before the officer pulled the truck over.

But you do know that the truck should have moved over sooner.

    Why aren’t you bashing him?

It wasn't 2 miles, either. No siren, only lights, it must have been a donut run or an illegal search and seizure going on.

So why didn't the guy in the orange flatdeck pull over? Or is it not law in the US that all vehicles must pull over to the nearest shoulder and stop for an emergency vehicle?

Divided highway, 2 lanes each direction, only the left lane needs to be clear. Non-divided highway, turn lane in the middle, everyone is supposed to move over/stop.

Of course, you also get the fidiots who move over AND slow down for a traffic stop in progress when the signs say move OR slow down....

misterG, Badmon and AModelCat Thank this.

Learn something every day. Where I am it only applies to traffic on the same side of the divide as the emergency vehicle.
