Sounds like someone is half a step away from having a breath analyzer to start their car....

If he's only 20, that might be where the K restriction comes from. Don't you need to be 21 to run interstate?Diesel Dave and NavigatorWife Thank this. -

There's no 24 that pops up.
There's a 42 though.
These are only letters for the link. K being one of them.

M is for pass???
in NC on mine, it's for motorcycle. -
The 24 is about vision restrictions and the need for vision testing every 6 months.
The driver has a vision problem and should have a six month dot.
The K means this .... K - If the State is notified by the FMCSA that a medical variance has been issued to the driver, the State must indicate the existence of such a medical variance on the CDLIS driving record and the CDL document using a restriction code "V" to indicate that there is information about the medical variance on the CDLIS record.
This is from the licensing book from the state of California, I have a hard copy and asked for it.
Everything you guys posted is wrong by the way, the breath analysiser thing comes from the state of mass and the k comes from another state .... neither are California.deathB4decaf, lovesthedrive and Ridlingdj Thank this.
