Or better than that. Think that professional truckers are so easily self abused by dispatchers words that may or may not be revelant or correct within the Laws setforth in HOS etc.

I think we stopped training people in very basic things like that white sign on a bridge end saying nothing over 7 ton is allowed.

And you wonder why Mr Idiot drives a over big 18 wheeler onto a little bridge and CRACK! splash. And want me to have tears of sympathy? Nope not from me. Ive crossed many wooden bridges before PROVIDED they have that smaller sign on the ground level for the local FD to cross over with a three axle hook and ladder at 34K on tandem. Whoo hoo thats me. Off I go.

 

sadly, there are those that when they are new, they got it into thier tiny little bubble-brain heads, that they will be fired and blackballed if they DO NOT DO as the dispatch tells them.

i laugh at that now, as i did back in my earlier years.

i was NOT all that young when i had started driving, so taking bullcrap was never in my vocabulary..lol

not all but many of the "new breed" of drivers are basement dwellers at thier parents home, never having to have experienced being able to speak up and tell someone "off".

this is yet another in the reason(s), all my kids had to leave home after college graduations (about 20-21 years of age, and make it on thier own.....

"grow a set"....well except for the girls, if they "grew a set"......we'd all be in trouble...lol

but you get the idea. "self sufficiency".

 

I laught at dispatchers. Hahaha

 

Currently arguing with mine about their low-ball freight and why I'm not allowed to use our 'parent' company's load board that has better rates.
