I'm looking to change the gear oil in my Mack. The dealer said $350 per diff just for the oil. I'm gonna do the job myself but... what oil would you recommend? Seems like almost any synthetic lube oil 75W-90 should do. What do you guys use?

I'm very interested in the Sinopec GL-5 75W90. It's almost three times cheaper than Mobil1. Has anybody used it before? I did some research on it and it appears to be up to standard...

That's on my to do list and I'm planning to use Sinopec. You can get 5 gallon tubs shipped to you from E bay if you can't find it locally.

I did some more reading and ordered Sinopec. Apparantly Mobil is not on the list for a reason. It causes slippage.

Don't use mobile one, use sinopec. We had two axle failures with mobile one and Mack said it is why they didn't recommend it.
