Just got around to reading my article I post.
Ya it's late. Time to crash out.

 

Avoid it....I cut through there going from Siloam Springs to Malvern and wished I hadn't. Some scenery but the campers, anglers and tourists offset that 10 fold.

 

That's no lie....or some truck parked against the curb preventing being able to use all the space needed to wiggle in. We deliver to them regularly and I haven't found one yet that is worth a darn.

I feel out of place,. Not wearing sport shorts, running outfit, sandles or any of the other casual attire we see....

I immediately moved west, to Erie, then further to Austinbirg, Oh - pounded the board, called agents I knew . . . Nothing.

Go back east for $3-$4 on the board - almost nothing west or south over $2.

Depressing. Agreed to another rocket parts load to Alabama - better the devil I know - but a 450 mile bounce all up kills the profitability.

Had an interesting conversation with 2 or 3 agents that actually have direct freight - they’re seeing some back stabbing and rate cutting too. Remember that they don’t eat if they don’t have freight either.

Better get going. Sigh.

 

Dang. I guess I didn’t realize it was that bad for spot market freight right now. I haven’t looked in a while.
