Funny how there are flat spots on the bottom of your tires with the truck up in the air like that. Very strange.

I would have hit the splitter up. Probably could have got it to do a backflip.

I had a paper load to a place up in upper minnesota.

If you consider the sprawling addamsfamily movie mansion or that of Batman etc (The movie...) you would understand that I am standing on the curb leaning on my cooling down detriot wondering how in sam hill am I going to get in one of those entryways built by a giggling 4 year old princess of a building architect?

Foreman comes to me, smiles. Paper?Yes Big rolls.

    Ok. Go here.

    Forward or backwards?

Just go here we get you out when finished. (Oh joy...)

I ease up to the indicated hole from which time will never turn back...and hear a very large engine. So I stop short.

Boss on my fuel tank says now what? I tell him I hear what I think is a BIG railroad switch engine in there somewhere.

Oh that, just go. Then reaches into my cab to see about some of those switches to make me go.

I jerk to a halt. And roar "Out"

We got this paper load that needs rescheduling dispatcher?

    WTF?

some days give me a headache.

Not as far fetched as you may think...I was dispatching, just out of college, when this happened to one of my drivers in Bayonne, NJ

Cadillac parked on the corner of the ONLY truck route [Ave E] Cop told the driver several times to "GO" before he did. Rolled the inner tandems over the fender and hood.

My boss at Quadrell Bros used to 'make rain' for commercials, etc. and doing a Rod Stewart video in Hells' kitchen. Cops said back down this street, driver said I can't; it will break off all those car mirrors....Cop said back down NOW!

Pop, Pop, Pop....busted around 20 mirrors off...The boss was most proud of the fact that at he end he turned one of the nozzles and sprayed Rod...he wasn't into Rock!

Had to back in off a street yesterday in Chicago. Wasn't too bad but had to wait for other trucks to move. Backed in couple places in new Jersey, and Pittsburgh. Luckily nothing too busy. My favorite was a delivery in palm springs, California. Wasn't too bad backing in, but even all the way against the dock I was still out into the middle of the road.

Actually,I love those types of deliveries, small 1to 3 dock brick style buildings in bigger cities on small streets.

    Your treated better,like a friend...

As opposed to these Romper room style 200 dock massive logistic warehouses where.50 trucks are there bothering you.

I used to love the tight older style deliveries...then again I always cared about what was in that trailer, wasn't in a hurry to get my next load all the time.
