Lol well its negative because i am going to have a revenue of 4k a week. So nothing is left. This is why i feel like my numbers are unrealistic. I understand that your not going to profit 4k a week on a truck but you have to be making at least $100 in profit otherwise no one would do this and the industry wouldn't be flooded with people.
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -

OK, you are adding variable expenses to your figures.
That can make this a bit confusing as you must then include all your assumptions on your variable costs.
I suggest braking things down to startup costs, fixed expenses, and variable expenses.
For your variable expenses i would create a spread sheet where you can input your weekly fixed expenses (start up costs are a one time thing and should not be included here) and then enter different values for miles driven, MPG that the truck gets, cost of fuel, pay received, and possible other items like tolls and parking fees. That way you can put in different numbers and see where your break even point is for different scenarios.
If your paying your driver per mile then his pay and your costs associated with it would be included on your variable spread sheet. If you are paying him a set salary, then his pay and your cost would be included as part of your fixed expenses. -
Go to ooida’s website, they have a spreadsheet you plug your numbers into.
