That sounds like good reading for this weekend while I'm relaxing at the friend's cabin drinking beer.

I've already got a set of chains the truck owner had with the truck and boss lady is giving me another set, just in case.

Rest assured I won't be pushing my luck at all. My main priority is getting in and out alive and in one piece and enjoying the ride. I'm used to driving the two lane Taliban Turnpike in Ontario and dealing with idiot drivers doing stupid stuff in the worst weather possible, so I'll take that experience and apply it here.

Going to check the weather before I leave Prince George, but the way through Alberta is only 100km farther and about the same time frame as the BC-37, so I might take the long way and avoid the road less traveled.

Might be the wiser choice if they've already had that kind of snow.

Oh yes, and there will be PLENTY of pictures.

I can't do anything with blue cheese on it if I want any sugar. My wife is anaphylactic with anything penicillin-bacteria based.

 

Anyways, at the Straight River rest area on the I35 near Owatonna for the night. Got 670 miles done in 10h51m drive time complete with St. Louis rush hour. Only dialed up the speed from 65 to 73 for the last 35 miles because I was tight to make the rest area. I really like having that ability rather than cut it short and leave time on the table.
