Military ID in Place of TWIC

I suppose. But TWIC is the gold standard for accessing sensitive infrastructure including Ports

 

i dunno, does the military ID have a "chip" on it..???

 

only by what i read here, unless you have a secret clearance, then no..??

The legislation also notes that TWIC-carrying workers who also have a current DOD secret level clearance “shall be considered exempt from further vetting when seeking unescorted access at DOD facilities.”

best i can say is call the TSA and ask them, and get back to us with the answers.

 

Most security guards are lucky to read the directions they are supposed to enforce. AT the VERY few facilities I go to that ask for a TWIC card, you either have a TWIC card or you must be escorted.

 

So you can get on base with a twic card.

But no answer if you can into a twic facility with a military id.
